Managing an AffiliateTracker is quite easy. You simply setup your affiliate program using the Web-based interface, correspond with your affiliates on their affiliate tracking ID, and finally review and deveop relationships with all your major affiliate partners.

Developing incentives for your super is the key to success with affiliate partnerships.

Managing an AdTracker is also easy. You simply setup your advertising landing page URL and insert it into the ads that you buy (usually they all ask you for the landing page URL) for each ad. You can have unlimited ads tracked through the system.

 

 
 
 

Introduction to Affiliate/Ad Tracking

Affiliate marketing is one of the most effective way of producing sales for an ecommerce storefront.

This is because affiliate relationships produces revenue for both the website selling goods and services but also for the affiliates in terms of commission payments.

Affiliates can bring traffic to their portal site and then driving traffic to a wide range of ecommerce sites to serve shoppers' interests and purchasing needs.

This form of revenue sharing advertising between merchants and their affiliates is often quite cost effective because merchants only pay if referred customers actually make a purchase and affiliates get paid a fixed percentage or amount for every sale without having overhead costs associated to product design, development, and fulfilment.

This is often a very effective methods of 'performance-paid' commission system.

However, a Merchant can choose to pay commision based on a percentage of total sales amounts, per product sold, per click, or per lead or even a combination of these methods depending on marketing strategies.

AffiliateTracker, and essentially the AdTracker work similarly in that they track visitors' source and destination and in particular (and often most importantly) whether a sale was resulted so that they method and source can be repeated again for increasing sales.

 
 
 

How does the AffiliateTracking work?

Affiliate tracking, using the AffiliateTracker, is a powerful way to save marketing costs by directly the funds towards a performance-based expense method.

Indeed AffiliateTracker is the most popular software with our clients – since it helps reduce marketing costs and helps establish where sales are coming from – therefore allowing you to focus every dollar of your advertising budget to the most revenue generating results-based sources.

You can track the sources of the traffic to your Web site for each of your affiliates, resellers, product websites, and advertising sources including banners, AdWords and pay-per-clicks, and much more.

Using an easy-to-use online admin interface, you can view daily sales produced by each and all of your affiliates, resellers, and advertising sources of your traffic.

Creating a Tracking URL for a Specific Advertising Source:

The first step is to create a tracking URL for a specific source such as a banner ad, a pay-per-click ad, affiliate or reseller web sites, etc.

To create a tracking URL, you would first create a unique affiliate ID that you would recognize and can easily associate to the source of traffic (e.g. for your ABC affiliate, the ID could be ABC or for your Google adword, the ID could be googleAd1, etc.).

The affiliate ID can be incorporated in the URL and the AffiliateTracker software will track and the affiliate ID as soon as it hits your ecommerce storefront and tracks it all the way through the order pages and to the final confirmation of order page.

The tracking URL is use for landing pages from your affiliates' or advertisers' website (or as the destination URL in your pay-per-click campaign). When your customer clicks on the link, the system will record it as an “entry count.” As your customer completes and places an order, the system will record it as an “approved count.”

This is a great way to tell how effective your affiliates traffic and ad campaign is from a specific source, since you can tell how many customers are going to your landing page and how many actually places an order.

The basic-format report displays the entry, approved, and declined counts of your affiliates/ads. To view a basic report, you would choose a date range and click on View Reports (see below). You can also view the Full Report for a detailed report.

 

 

Assuming that you had created a tracking URL for a specific affiliate/advertising source, you can also view sales figures from each source from the Order Manager administrative interface for a more advanced view of reports.

When the sales reports are displayed in the Order Manager, you will be able to see Transactions by ID at the bottom of the report. Therefore, in addition to your total sales report, you will have access to a list of sales based on tracking URL and can see the affiliate IDs sales summary.

Once you can click on the affiliate sales summary link on the right, a more detailed report of the specific affiliate or affiliate/ad ID will be displayed.

 


 
 
 

How does the AdTracking work?

AdTracker works in exactly the same way the AffiliateTracker works.
